‘Reiki’ is an ancient Tibetan method to access ‘Universal Life Force Energy’ or the infinite energy from the cosmos in order to apply it in the palm healing process. Reiki Training teaches one to unearth and control energy and to direct it towards healing purposes through their palms.

In Reiki Training, a beginner is guided by an erudite Reiki Master. Though a teacher-student relationship exists, this learning process does not take place in classrooms. Powers are instead transferred from the palms of the Master in Reiki Training to the palms of the recipient just like the way the healing process takes place.

Reiki Attunement process occurs when the Master transfers the capability to access energies of the Universe and then utilize it by focusing it on a specific part of another body. This ritual is the essence of the Reiki Training. From here on, the reiki student can control energies through his palms on his own getting better with practice and experience.

Reiki training or attunement process is undertaken in three degrees or levels. In the first degree, the recipient is trained on how to access the universal energy and basic hand positions for bringing on relaxation and healing. In the second level, the recipient learns various Reiki symbols which empowers the palm healing process and thus is able to heal people over time and space.

In the final degree of Reiki training, the recipients are much experienced and gain control over one or more Reiki symbols. Having going through all the three levels, they now become masters themselves with the ability of undertaking Reiki trainings for others not initiated in the art.

The ceremonial process of Reiki training is divided into two parts where in the first half the Reiki master stands at the back of the recipient while in the second half he comes to the front. Thus, at first, the Reiki master stands at the back putting up his left palm in order to access the divine energy, and draws Reiki symbols on the crown of the head region of the recipient intensely concentrating and meditating all the while.

In the second half, the master comes to the front of the recipient focusing on the palms and third eye region of the latter and using hand positions and certain hand techniques like stroking, tapping, blowing and chanting in the process. He draws advanced Reiki symbols on the palms of the recipient, tapping the same while in intense meditation all the while. He does the same thing to his third eye area as well.

The Reiki Training completes when the Master draws the ”Master Violet’ symbol in his own left palm and taps and strokes to transfers it to the Students right palm. He repeats the process of imagining the ‘Master Violet’, this time in his right palm and then transfers the symbol onto the Student’s left palm. Next he visualizes the ‘Master Violet’ symbol in between the palms of the Student and brings them together gradually giving the palms back to him. Hereafter, the Master bows to the recipient, hereby respecting him for the new capabilities he has received and for who he is, now.
