There are so many different ways in which the computer has changed our lives. They have made our lives more efficient and productive and they have made our lives more enjoyable and fun. There are so many things that one can do now that one couldn’t do previously.

Now you can go surfing and watch such a lot of things that you otherwise never would have seen before. It also permits folk to post their own videos. Imagine having the ability to watch the 1st steps of your grandson how else will you have seen that unless you flew over to them and they set up the video?

Then you have games. Before computers came around if you wanted to play a game you could only play what you had in the games room. That’s the first issue then what if you didn’t have anyone you could play with? You would cajole someone into playing with you but that isn’t so much fun as they aren’t really enjoying themselves. Even worse you would try playing by yourself.

Now you can go browsing and there are actually thousands of games you can enjoy. You may either play them against a P. C. all find folk online to play against. Now instead of being bored you do not have sufficient time in the day to play all of the games it is currently feasible to.

People can connect with each other like never before. Once you left school and moved on you would lose touch with a lot of people. Now because of social networking sites such as Facebook you can track old friends down and reconnect with them. Things such as email and Skype mean that it is easier to write to them and catch up. Writing letters and posting them wasn’t for everyone.

In terms of buying things, the consumer can buy anything they want without even leaving their house. Imagine if you wanted to buy something in a different country. How would you have gone about that before the advent of the internet? Now you can search the net for it? If the page is in a language that you don’t understand you can copy and paste the text and have it translated. While it won’t be a perfect translation it will do the job.

Internet dating is now tremendously favored and allows people to find a life-long partner this way. It just isn’t internet dating sites but anything where there is interaction.

Previously if you missed a TV show that could mean that you lost it. Now with things being posted on the internet, you can catch the episode there. That is a big relief for many people who didn’t like to miss out on a show. Now thanks to the internet you can catch everything.
