Four – Game Series Between The Giants And The Braves

After a fruitful July with the Giants, Posey is waiting to participate in the four – game series in Atlanta against the Braves. In fact, all the players and the fans are waiting for these games. Posey went to his home two for a short break before playing against the giants.

This four game series is full of challenges for the Giants. The first challenge that the giants should face in this series is the hot climate of Atlanta. The expected weather during the games would be around the mid nineties. The Giant players should be in their top form in order to cope with this climate and be able to perform well during the series.

In addition to the hot weather, the Giants will have to face a team that is eager to play and willing to win. The manager of the Giants Team, Bruce Bochy described the Braves as a team playing good baseball and has all what it needs to win the game. He also added that he wish that his team offers good performance in front of the Braves.

The San Francisco Giants are entering these games with some excellent records as they are the second best record after the Padres, despite the Padres last loss in front of the dodgers. The Giants’ record is 62 – 46. In addition to this, the difference between the giants and the Padres is only one game in the National League.

46 years ago, Juan Marichal had set a record of 7 consecutive strikeouts. During the last game of the Giants vs. the Colorado Rockies, Jonathan Sanchez was able to tie this record but, he was not the only player to do this on the current season as two other players did the same in earlier matches.

The Giants were not lucky on their last match against the Rockies, despite the record set by Sanchez. Bruce said that playing in Denver is tough and added that the Rockies are very stubborn and have marvelous abilities. The Giants started by scoring the first point but, the Rockies came back with 6 full points to win the game.

The Giants are charging their powers to the Braves as they have got a new left-handed Pitcher. The new pitcher is Javier Lopez; the former Pittsburg pitcher is a great addition to the Giants as they were lacking their two left-handed pitchers, Jeremy Affeldt and Dan Runzler, who had been on the Disabled List for a while.

Another addition to the team lineup is Brian Wilson, who is returning from the disabled list after his back spasm healing. Brian is expected to be available for the game against the dodgers on Sunday. Jeremy and Dan will get back from the Disabled List after two or three weeks from now.
