Earn Money Online By List Building
I opened an email from a friend the other day. The general gist of the email was that he wanted to learn how to earn money online. It’s a very broad question and I could talk for days giving an answer. Instead I gave him the answer to what’s the best way of making money online, after all I’ve done the work and research, now I want to impart my knowledge to the world.
Starting out online can be tough and there are literally thousands of methods of making money online. I would argue that list building is the best and a lot of the top earners online would agree!
List building is putting together a list of email addresses to send a newsletter to. This list of email addresses should be targeted and specific to the niche you are in. A lot of people think that the bigger the email list the better as it will mean more sales. This is not necessarily true.
You need your list to be targeted and specific to the niche you are in. If the email addresses you have gathered are not interested in the content you are selling then it’s highly unlikely you are going to make a sale. Think about it; an ice cream van pulls into town with music playing, kids come running from every corner ready to buy ice creams and cones then the guy driving the van turns out to be selling vegetables. Do you think he’s going to make money? If the bigger the list was directly proportional to the money you make; spammers would be making serious money online.
How do you build a targeted list and earn money online? The answer is simple, stick to a specific niche or interest area and allow people to have the choice to give their email address or opt in if they are also interested in this niche. You can capture these email addresses by use of an opt in box, which is simply an area on a website or blog where people submit their email address and also usually their name if you don’t know how to set one up ask a web designer to do it for you and you can earn money online.
